They Say It's Your Birthday!

It was for my son's best friend's birthday that I realized I don't really have any boy/kid stamps. Need to get some pirates, trains, robots... something! I asked my son what his friend's favorite animal is because I do have quite a few of those - bears, geese, frogs, crabs - there's gotta be something in my stash that he likes! Of course, he doesn't know... it also doesn't help that he was half asleep when I asked him! So since my son didn't know what animal his best friend likes, I made a card that featured four of them:
animal birthday card
Stamps: It's Your Birthday (retired); Wild About You (retired)
Cardstock: Basic Black, Dusty Durango, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green, Going Gray, More Mustard, Only Orange, & Pumpkin Pie Markers
Etc: 1-¼" and 1-3/8" Square Punches; Mini Glue Dots; Googlie Eyes

I kept this card very simple because I'm sure a 12-year-old boy might not like a card with ribbon and sparkles and stuff. I added googlie eyes to two of the animals to make them more goofy-looking and whimsical. This was a quick card to make, although I could not get the penguin the way I wanted for some reason... I had to stamp him 5 times before I got the results I wanted! Either way, I think it's fitting for a boy, although I'm sure his mom would enjoy it more than him!
